Tom Nicholls
Tom Nicholls, one of the editors of The Crude View, has covered the energy sector as a journalist for almost 15 years. He is editor of Petroleum Economist, the world’s most respected energy magazine. He has also worked for the London Evening Standard, Bridge News (now Reuters), and other newspapers and magazines. He is a founder director of Silverstone Communications, publisher of How the Energy Industry Works: An Insiders’ Guide.
Nicholls is an expert on topics ranging from global energy politics to carbon, capture and storage, to climate change policy.
With Derek Brower he set up the geopolitical energy consultancy BrowerNicholls, of which he remains a director.
Nicholls holds a degree in Modern Languages from Oxford University. He has worked and lived as a journalist in Madrid. Nicholls speaks fluent French and Spanish. He is married and has three children. Contact him at nicholls.tom@gmail.com
